Abstract

Kata Kunci : Makna Simbol, komunikasi, takir plonthang dalam tradisi Baritan di Desa Wringinrejo Kecamatan Gambiran Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Skripsi ini mengkaji tentang Makna Simbol Komunikasi takir Plontang Dalam Tradisi Baritan di desa Wringinrejo, karena di dalam tradisi ini identik dengan takir plonthang sebagai komponen wajib yang harus ada atau dipakai. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptis kualitatif dengan menekankan makna dan simbol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara metode observasi partisipan dan dokumentasi. Kemudian data yang dikumpulkan diolah dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan yaitu: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan serta pengujian kesimpulan. Objek dari penelitian ini meliputi pemerintahan desa, tokoh adat, tokoh masyarakat, pemuda, dan masyarakat Desa Wringinrejo Kecamatan Gambiran Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Untuk hasil penelitian ini diketahui bahwa makna simbol takir plonthang adalah sebagai wadah atau bentuk pengucapan syukur kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, meminta keselamatan dunia akhirat, langgeng dalam berkeluarg dan penyelamatan untuk diri sendiri atau sedulure dewe. Selain hal tersebut generasi muda yang ada di desa Wringinrejo sangat mendukung penuh dalam tradisi ini, namun pemapahaman dalam hal maksud dan tujuannya masih kurang juga ada sedikit pergeseran makna pertama hingga selanjutnya dalam tradisi ini, seperti acara sekarang diadakan dua kali padahal awal dahulu hanya sekali. Keyword: Meaning Symbol, communication, takir plonthang in tradition Baritan in Wringinrejo Village, Gambiran District, Regency Banyuwangi. This thesis examines the meaning of the takir plonthang communication symbol in the Baritan tradition in Wringinrejo village, because in this tradition it is synonymous with takir plonthang as a compulsory component that must be present or used. In this study using a qualitative descriptive approach by emphasizing meaning and symbols. The data collection technique used the interview method, the participant observation method and documentation. Then the data collected is processed and analyzed using, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing and testing conclusions. The objects of this study include village government, traditional leaders, community leaders, youths, and the community of Wringinrejo Village, Gambiran District, Banyuwangi Regency. For the results of this study it is known that the meaning of the takir plonthang symbol is as a container or form of thanksgiving to God, asking for the safety of the hereafter, lasting in family and saving for oneself or sedulre dewe. Apart from this, the younger generation in Wringinrejo village fully supports this tradition, but there is still a lack of understanding in terms of its aims and objectives.
