Abstract

In 2020 Indonesia is experiencing a COVID-19 pandemic, thus resulting in changes in various aspects, one of which is education, the learning process is carried out online in accordance with the Decree of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Education Number 35492/A.A5/HK/2020 dated March 12, 2020 regarding Prevention of the spread of Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) that the learning is done online. This change in the learning system creates a new problem, one of which is that students at SMAN Pakusari have difficulty on write recount text using the Microsoft Teams application. For this reason, the researcher conducted an analysis on the students’ difficulty in SMAN Pakusari on writing recount text using Microsoft Teams by performing interactive analysis technique that used 2 data collection methods, first is questionnaires and second documentation. From the two data, the researchers found 60% or 15 students had difficulty in grammar, then there were 72% or 18 students have difficulty in vocabulary and there are 48% or 12 students have difficulty in determining ideas. In addition, students also experienced difficulties in using the Microsoft Teams application when learning recount text, students said that it was difficult to join in the meeting room, difficult to send assignment and slow application. From the results of research conducted at SMAN Pakusari regarding the students’ difficulties on writing recount text in online learning using Microsoft Teams, there are five, first is grammar, second is vocabulary, third is brainstorming idea, fourth is difficult to join the meeting room, five is difficult to send assignment
