Abstract

This final report examines the role of the Purchasing Department in order to facilitate kitchen operations through the Daily Market List at Hotel 88 Jember. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the Purchasing Department in order to facilitate kitchen operations through the Daily Market List at Hotel 88 Jember. Report writing is presented qualitatively. The technique used in data collection is in the form of observation, interviews, and literature study. Purchasing as a part that serves requests for procurement of goods, especially perishable goods by using the Daily MarketList; Purchasing as the part entitled to order the requested goods to the supplier; Purchasing is able to choose the right supplier for the suitability of the requested goods; Purchasing is responsible for ensuring that ordered goods arrive on time according to the Daily Market List. The results showed that the role of the purchasing department in procuring goods through the Daily Market List at Hotel 88 Jember is very vital and important in facilitating the operational activities of the Kitchen section, so that the performance of parts related to the kitchen such as restaurants and banquets is optimal
