INTISARI Latar belakang. motor bakar ialah suatu jenis mesin penggerak yang bekerja dengan memanfaatkan energi kalor dari proses pembakaran menjadi energi mekanik. motor bensin sebagai salah satu jenis motor pembakaran dalam yang digunakan untuk menggerakkan atau sebagai sumber tenaga dari suatu kendaraan. Karburator masih digunakan dalam mesin kecil dan dalam mobil tua atau khusus seperti yang dirancang untuk balap mobil stok. Reed valve ini sebagai pintu masuknya bahan bakar, pelumas dan udara yang telah dicampur di karburator menuju ke ruang bakar. Reed valve juga berfungsi sebagai penghalang terbakarnya proses pembakaran di luar silinder, terutama karburator.Ruang bakar sendiri adalah ruang proses terjadinya pencampuran bahan bakar udara menjadi energi panas dengan pergerakan piston dan menghasilkan emisi gas buang. Emisi gas buang sendiri adalah sisa pembakaran yang terjadi di ruang bakar, emisi gas buang ini dikeluarkan melalui knalpot atau exhaust system. Dalam penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahuiiperbandingan pengaruh membran (reed value) standart dan costum terhadap kinerja mesin 2 tak 135CC. Penelitian ini termasuk metodeieksperimental. Penelitian ini dilakukan di dynotester UNMUH Jl. Karimata, No. 49 Kecamatan Sumbersari, Kabupaten Jember, Provinsi Jawa Timur pada bulan Juli sampai denganiselesai. Alat penelitian. (1) Dynotest Alat yang digunakan untuk menukur daya pada sepeda motor dalam satuan Hp (horse power). (2) Tachometer Alat yang digunakaniuntuk mengukur putaran mesinidalam satan RPM (rotasi per minutes). (3) Set Tool Box Digunakan untuk melakukan tune-up pada sepeda motor agar diketahui kondisi mesin yang paling mendekati standaridan untuk memasang membran pada mesiniyamaha 2 tak 135CC. (4) Blower Digunakan untuk mendinginkan mesinisebagai pengganti hembusan angin dan menjaga suhu kerja mesin motor. (5)Stop Watch Alat untuk mengetahuiiwaktu operasi mesin untuk setiap percobaan mesin 2 tak 135CC. Menurut pembahasan dan hasil diatas. Perbandingan Peforma motor 2 tak 135cc dengan menggunakan membran standart dan custom mengalami hasil yg berbeda. Dimana membran custom mengalamiikenaikan peforma mesin dengan hasil torsi tertinggi yaitu (26,17 N.m) dan daya (20,9 HP). sedangkanimembran standart hanya menghasilkan torsi tertinggi yaitu (23,01 N.m) dan daya (18,2 N.m). Faktor perbedaan membranidiatas di karenakan lidah membraniyang berbeda dimana lidah membran yg sudah di modifikasi lebih lentur jadi saat penghisapan bahan bakar lebih cepat dan sempurnaisehingga kinerja mesin lebih optimal. sedangkan membran standart lidahnya kaku jadi menyulitkan saat penghisapan bahan bakar sehingga kinerjaimesin jadi berat karna kurangnya efisiensi saat penghisapan Kata kunci: karburator, membran dan ruang bakar xv COMPARISON OF THE EFFECT OF STANDARD AND COSTUME MEMBRANES ON THE PERFORMANCE OF A 135 CC 2 STROKE ENGINE Mohammad Sholeh¹, Kosjoko S.T., M.T², Dr. mokh. The combustion engine is a type of engine that works by utilizing heat energy from the combustion process into mechanical energy. gasoline motor as one type of internal combustion motor that is used to drive or as a source of power from a vehicle. Carburetors are still used in small engines and in older or specialty cars such as those designed for stock car racing. This reed valve serves as the entrance for fuel, lubricant and air that has been mixed in the carburetor to enter the combustion chamber. The reed valve also functions as a barrier to the burning of the combustion process outside the cylinder, especially the carburetor. The combustion chamber itself is the process space for mixing fuel-air into heat energy with the movement of the piston and producing exhaust gas emissions. Exhaust emission itself is the rest of the combustion that occurs in the combustion chamber, this exhaust emission is released through the exhaust or exhaust system. This study aims to determine the comparison of the effect of the standard and costum membrane (reed value) on the performance of the 135CC 2 stroke engine. This research is an experimental method. This research was conducted at the dynoster UNMUH Jl. Karimata, No. 49 Sumbersari District, Jember Regency, East Java Province from July to completion. Research tools. (1) Dynotest Tool used to measure power on a motorcycle in units of Hp (horse power). (2) Tachometer Tool used to measure engine speed in units of RPM (rotations per minute). (3) Set Tool Box Used to tune-up the motorcycle to find out the condition of the engine that is closest to the standard and to install the membrane on the 135 cc 2 stroke engine. (4) Blower Used to cool the engine as a substitute for wind gusts and maintain the working temperature of the motor engine. (5) Stop Watch Tool to find out the engine operating time for each trial of the 135 cc 2 stroke engine. According to the discussion and results above. Comparison of the performance of a 135cc 2-stroke motorcycle using standard and custom membranes experienced different results. Where the custom membrane experienced an increase in engine performance with the highest torque (26.17 N.m) and power (20.9 HP). while the standard membrane only produces the highest torque (23.01 N.m) and power (18.2 N.m). The membrane difference factor above is due to a different membrane tongue where the modified membrane tongue is more flexible so that when the fuel intake is faster and perfect, the engine performance is more optimal. while the standard tongue membrane is stiff so it makes it difficult when sucking fuel so that the engine performance becomes heavy because of the lack of efficiency when sucking Keywords: carburetor, membrane and combustion chamber
