Abstract

Background: During the postpartum period, problems frequently occur such as nipple anomalies, breast swelling, and breast engorgement. This problem is cause by a number of factors, including the lack of maternal care for breast-feeding mothers. Oxytocin massage offers numerous advantages in the breast-feeding process, due to its performance that stimulates the performance of the oxytocin hormone, which can increase the breastmilk capacity. Purpose: Implementing an oxytocin massage intervention for inneffective breastfeeding nursing problems for Mrs. H P1A0 Post Sectio Caesarea H0 for indications of breech position. Methods : The type of research that I’m using is Case Study. The focus is to explore the efficacy of oxytocin massage intervention against ineffective breastfeeding nursing problems for Mrs. H P1A0 post sectio caesarea H0 for indication of breech position in RSD Dr Soebandi Jember, Dahlia chamber. Result: Following the response from February 14 to February 16, 2022, the issue of ineffective breastfeeding nursing problems was resolved. Known from the escalation of breastmilk emission, adequate breastmilk supply, the tenacious developement of the baby to the mother's breast, and the mother’s ability to adjust the baby’s positions increased. Conclusion: The oxytocin massage intervention is effective in stimulating the oxytocin reflex, as well as providing comfort to the mother, reducing breast swelling, breast engorgement, reducing breastmilk suspension, stimulating the oxytocin hormone, and retain the breastmilk source.
