Abstract

Adolescents are one of the vulnerable groups in disaster situations, but can also become mediators in conveying information related to adolescent reproductive health in disaster preparedness and when a disaster occurs, so that youth must have adequate knowledge and attitude of disaster preparedness. Preparedness knowledge and behavior in adolescents can be increased through education using virtual education related to the implementation of the Minimum Initial Service Package (MISP) for adolescent reproductive health in disaster preparedness situations. The research method used is Quasy Experimental with Pretest and Post test design. This research was conducted in May 2023 at the Muhammadiyah University of Jember Nursing Science Study Program involving 62 respondents obtained by purposive sampling. The inclusion criteria were Nursing Science Study Program students who were in their first year of college and had never received education about MISP. The research data was obtained through an electronic questionnaire. Statistical test using Paired Samples T-Test. The results of the calculation of the paired t-test test obtained a p value (Asymp.Sig 2 tailed) of 0.0001 which is less than 0.05 so that the decision on the H1 hypothesis is accepted, which means that there is an effect of virtual education on the knowledge and attitudes of adolescents about MISP for adolescent reproductive health in disaster preparedness situations. Disaster preparedness education for youth should be carried out regularly by involving cross-sectoral sectors.
