Abstract

AbstrakTeknologi pengelasan memiliki peran integral dalam domain teknologimanufaktur. Untuk menciptakan struktur berkualitas tinggi, diperlukan teknologiyang memungkinkan penggabungan logam, dan inilah dimana teknologipengelasan berperan. Las TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) adalah bentuk pengelasan busurgas tungsten, di mana elektroda berperan sebagai penyuplai busur yang tidakmeleleh selama proses pengelasan. Teknik Gas Tungsten Acr Welding umumnyalebih banyak di gunakan pada logam ringan seperti magnesium, aluminium, sertastainless steel, dan jenis logam lainnya. Baja karbon tipe 201 ini memiliki beberapakarakteristik mekanik, termasuk kekuatan tarik sebesar 580 Mpa, batas elastisitas(yield strength) sebesar 198 Mpa, tingkat elongasi sebesar 50%, dan kekerasan 87HRBI. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kekuatan tarik dan strukturmikro hasil pengelasan las TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) dengan 45 derajat kampuh V,U dan J. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan beberapa model uji 2D datar 45 derajatkampuh V, U, dan J dengan arus 110 - 120. Penelitian ini dilakukan di BalaiLatihan Kerja Banyuwangi, laboratorium Material Teknik Mesin UniversitasSebelas Maret Surakarta, Laboratorium Teknik Mesin Universitas Negeri Jember.Pada penelitian ini mendapatkan hasil perubahan kekuatan tarik yang cukupsignifikan. Nilai kekuatan tarik terendah terdapat pada kampuh las J dengan nilairata – rata 394,4 MPA. Sedangkan nilai kekuatan tarik tertinggi terdapat padakampuh las V dengan nilai rata – rata531,1 MPA. Hasil pada struktur mikro untukkampuh J memiliki butiran fasa terbesar, kampuh V membentuk butiran fasaterkecil dari lainnya. kampuh V memiliki jumlah butir yang cukup banyak karenajumlahnya yang relatif kecil dan padat.Kata kunci : Pengelasan, Uji Tarik, Struktur Mikro, Las TI0047AbstractWelding technology has an integral role in the domain of manufacturingtechnology. To create high-quality structures, technology is needed that allowsjoining metals, and this is where welding technology comes into play. TIG(Tungsten Inert Gas) welding is a form of tungsten gas arc welding, in which theelectrode acts as a supply of arc that does not melt during the welding process. Gas Tungsten Acr Welding technique is generally more widely used in light metalssuch as magnesium, aluminum, and stainless steel, and other types of metals. Type 201 carbon steel has several mechanical characteristics, including tensile strengthof 580Mpa, yield strength of 198 Mpa, elongation rate of 50%, and hardness of 87 HRBI. The purpose of this study was to determine the bending strength andmicrostructure of TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding results with 45 degrees of V, you and J potency. This research was conducted at Job training centerBanyuwangi, Mechanical.Engineering Material Laboratory, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta,Mechanical Engineering Laboratory, Jember State University. In this studyobtained significant changes in tensile strength. The lowest tensile strengthvalue is found in the J welding potency with an average value of 394.4 MPA. While the highest tensile strength value is found in V welding potency with an average value of 531.1 MPA. The result in the microstructure for J potent is that it has the largest phase grain, V potent forms the smallest phase grain of the other.
