Abstract
Soybeans act as a source of vegetable protein which is needed in the food industry to improve nutrition. The research objectives are to determine: (1) cost efficiency of soybean farming (2) technical efficiency of soybean farming in Bangsalsari District, Jember Regency. The research was carried out in dry planting season 2022 using quantitative and descriptive research methods. The research sample was 50 people using Cluster and Accidental Sampling techniques. The data analysis used is R/C ratio analysis and multiple regression analysis of the Cob-Douglas model. The results of this research show that: (1) the efficiency of using soybean farming costs in Bangsalsari District has not been achieved with an R/C ratio value of 0.90 (2) the technical efficiency of soybean farming in Bangsalsari District has not been achieved for land production factors. Meanwhile, the factors of number of workers, number of soybean plants, and inorganic fertilizers on production are no longer efficient but not significant.
