Abstract

The development of automotive technology in Indonesia is growing rapidly where the need for vehicles is no longer tertiary but has become a primary need. Energy savings through reducing fuel consumption and increasing engine efficiency are the goals of various technological developments. Ways to achieve this include creating an aerodynamic body shape. The research method used is classified as research and development (R&D). In this research, standard bodies and modified bodies will be analyzed. Then carry out aerodynamic testing on the Bharata electric car looking for the pressure coefficient (CD), drag coefficient (CD), lift coefficient (CL) using Ansys 2020 R2, so that the aerodynamics of the standard Bharata electric car body with modifications are known. After carrying out the simulation, the results on the standard body produce a maximum pressure of 86.4854 Pa with a drag coefficient of 0.7395 and a lift coefficient of 0.2592. while the modified body produces a maximum pressure of 82.8264 pa with a drag coefficient of 0.7122 and a lift coefficient of 0.1027. The results of the modified body are better than the standard body. This is proven by the pressure decreasing after being modified, which means that the pressure on the modified body is smaller than the standard body. Not only that, there was also a decrease in the drag and lift coefficient values after modification, so that the modified body was more aerodynamic than the standard body.
