Abstract

Bayi berat lahir rendah (BBLR) sering mengalami kelemahan refleks hisap karena keterlambatan perkembangan sistem neurologis dan kapasitas otot mulut bayi belum stabil yang menyebabkan lemahnya kemampuan otot menghisap dan menelan pada bayi belum berkembang dengan baik, oleh karena itu bayi yang mengalami masalah kelemahan refleks hisap dapat dilakukan stimulus oral motor exercise. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah peningkatan refleks hisap pada Bayi Berat Lahir Rendah (BBLR) melalui stimulus oral motor exercise. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus pada By. Ny. F yang dilaksanakan di ruang Perinatologi RSD. Balung Jember pada tanggal 07 juli 2024 dengan masalah refleks hisap lemah, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara, observasi, dan pemeriksaan fisik. Setelah dilakukan implementasi stimulus oral motor exercise didapatkan hasil terjadinnya peningkatan reflek hisap pada bayi berat lahir rendah (BBLR), bayi dapat menyusu mengunakan dot dan secara eksklusif.
