Abstract

In soil mechanics, the parameters of soil properties can be determined through laboratory tests and several parameters will be obtained through the relationship between these parameters. Usually a study of the relationship between soil parameters generated from laboratory test used to determine the properties of the soil and the tendency to influence the rise and fall of the land value of the parameters that will affect the strength of the construction. In this study will be carried out in laboratory experiments with "unconfined copression test" to determine the shear strength of undisturbed clay soil (undisturbed) and shear strength of clay disturbed (disturbed) without changing the water content. Comparison of native and disturbed soil strength is called "sensitivity". In addition to experiment with the "unconfined copression test" also performed other experiments to find the value of soil properties, such as to find out the ground Plasticity Index. Then the data is applied in a graph with linear regression analysis and linear correlation between the sensitivity of the Soil Plasticity Index of soil and soil sensitivity to the plastic limit. The results of this research note shear strength of clay that has been disturbed tends to decrease depending on the level of damage to the soil. Relations between the two parameters is inversely related to soil shear strength (Cu) native land and the value of Cu soil is disturbed. In addition, the sensitivity of the clay against plasticity index has a relationship (correlation) were positive (0.986) and to limit plasticity have a relationship (correlation) were negative (0,848). Keywords: Sensitivity Soil Clays, Plastis Index, Limits Plastis
