Abstract
The traditional market is a place for buyers and sellers that indicatet by the transaction the seller and the buyer directly. Bondowoso Central market on Wahid Hasyim street is the largest market in the Bondowoso city. Viewed from the market sketch this is a building with large lenght. Based on SNI regulations on chapter abaout earthquakes. a large lenght building had a poor response to the earthquake, based on the rules of SNI the writer interested to know how the response of buildings against earthquake loads. The study was began with collect data such as building sketch, From the sketch then analyzed Eccentricity of the building. Eccentricity is the center of mass and stiffness which of the building. Interaction center of mass and center of stiffness controlled according to earthquake regulations. The results of this study indicate that the eccentricity, is influenced by the stiffness of beams and columns. Changes column dimensions and the dimensions of the beam Impact to the centre of stiffness. Eccentricity in the building impact to the building torque.
