Key Word: English Textbook, Content Analysis, BSNP framework Textbooks are types of teaching materials that are used as a medium for teachers to teach and a medium for students to learn. It indicates that books have an important role in the teaching and learning process. Although books have an important role, but not everyone knows the quality of the books they use in teaching and learning process. Text books that are not good will make confused, bored or even incompatible with the needs of learners. Such reasons make the selection of textbook used by teachers become relatively crucial. The problem of this research is “how are the content quality of the English textbook used in second grade of senior high school based on the National Education Standards Board (BSNP)?” The research problem is formulated to find out the quality of English textbook used in second grade of senior high school published by Kemendikbud based on Education Standard Council (BSNP). This type of research is descriptive qualitative research with content analysis design. The research subject was an 11th grade high school English textbook published by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The data collection method used in this study was document analysis. The collected data was analyzed using the content analysis design based on the BSNP criteria. Data were analyzed through 3 stages, namely: 1. Familiarizing and organizing, 2. Coding and reducing, 3. Interpreting and representing. There are 3 categories determined by BSNP in content analysis, namely the relevance of books to KI KD, accuracy of material and supporting material. From this category, the results of data analysis show that the "English" textbook meets the BSNP criteria indicators with a very good score. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the English textbook for class XI SMA published by the Ministry of Education and Culture has very good content quality according to BSNP standards and is suitable for use as a learning medium.
