Abstract

Weir is a building located in the water that serves to raise the water level of the river
with a specific purpose. Weir buildings are required to be able to withstand the
forces of overturning, shearing and soil bearing capacity. The condition of the Setail
weir in Jambewangi Village, Sempu District, Banyuwangi Regency, was damaged
in the crest and stilling pond. In conditions like this, it must be recalculated,
especially in the condition of the weir during an earthquake. The research I did
discusses the new design for the weir with the calculation of earthquake forces
referring to the 2017 earthquake zoning map. The data used in this study are
hydrological data, soil data and seismic zone review data. The design flood
discharge analysis uses a 50 year period of 426.11 m3
/s. Hydraulics analysis using
a fixed weir with an ogee type crest with an upstream slope of 1: 1. Analysis of the
stability of the weir obtained the SF value using the plaxis 8.2 program of 3.2816 >
2, it can be concluded that for this latest weir design, we can proceed to the planning
stage.
