ABSTRACT
Early detection of cancer is key to curing types of cancer. This research aims to determine relationship between perception and motivation for early detection of cervical cancer. This type of research is quantitative research with cross sectional design. The sampling technique in this research used cluster random sampling with two stage cluster sampling method, sample in this research was 210 respondents. This research instrument uses questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis uses spearman rank. The research results show significant p value of 0.000 < 0.05 with correlation coefficient of 0.757 which is included in strong category (0.6 – 0.8). perception of women childbearing age in Patrang Community Health Center work area is relatively positive and motivation for early detection of cervical cancer is relatively strong. There is significant relationship between perception and motivation. So that more positive of perception, stronger motivation for early detection of cervical cancer.
