Abstract

Building development in Indonesia, including in Banyuwangi Regency, requires structural planning that ensures earthquake resistance. The equivalent static analysis method is widely used due to its simplicity, particularly for low-rise buildings. However, regulatory changes from PPTIUG 1981 to SNI 1726:2012 have reclassified some structures—previously considered regular—into irregular categories. This shift necessitates a reassessment of the accuracy of using the equivalent static method. This study aims to evaluate the accuracy of the D-Value method on the 3-story hospital building of Al-Huda, focusing on three key parameters: inter-story drift, natural period, and structural stability (P-Δ effect). Calculations were conducted based on existing project data, structural analysis methods, and the requirements outlined in SNI 1726:2012. The analysis results indicate that the structure satisfies the criteria for a Type D structure. The values of inter-story drift, period, and stability remain within acceptable limits according to seismic design standards. Therefore, the use of the D-Value method within the framework of equivalent static analysis is still considered appropriate for this building.
