Key word: Reading Skill, Interactive Approach Reading is an important activity for students to gain knowledge and information from the texts they read. In teaching reading, a teacher must make students understand a text. The interactive approach is an effective strategy for student learning. This learning method is teaching that motivates students, before the class session students are given the material to be studied and then students study the material through the media power point that has been, the media is to guide students through the assignments provided, problem solving, learning activities, group discussions and policies and build interactive classes. This research is experimental research. Researchers conducted research on students at SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Jember. There are two research variables, the independent variable is an interactive approach, the dependent variable is reading skills. The researcher took two classes as samples, XI IPA 2 consisted of 21 students as the experimental group, and XI IPA 3 consisted of 25 students as the control group. Data collected only posttest. The research instrument used in this method is multiple choice in which there are 20 questions. Based on the results of the analysis, the average value of the experimental class for the post-test was 88.57 while the average value of the control class was 81.56. The average value of the experimental group is higher than the average value of the control group. The significance value based on the analysis on the post-test is 0.000 <0.05. The alternative hypothesis (Ha) shows that there is a significant difference in reading ability between students who are taught with an interactive approach and students who are taught with worksheets is accepted. This thesis presents conclusions from research on the effect of using the interactive approach on the achievement of reading comprehension of students in grades XI IPA 2 and XI IPA 3 at SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Jember in the 2022/2023 academic year and some suggestions for English teachers, students, and future researchers.
