Abstract
ABSTRAK Erythriana, Chelsea Nadia. 2023. Studi Etnobotani Dalam Upacara Nyepi di Pura Luhur Giri Salaka Sebagai Sumber Belajar. Kata Kunci: Tumbuhan, Upacara Nyepi, Pura Luhur Giri Salaka, Sumber Belajar Hari Raya Nyepi merupakan hari raya umat Hindu yang dilaksanakan setiap Tahun Baru Saka. Pelaksanaan upacara Hari Raya Nyepi terdiri dari: Upacara Melasti, Upacara Tawur Kesanga, Catur Brata Penyepian dan Ngembak Geni. Peran tumbuhan dalam upacara agama Hindu adalah salah satu bahan ritual yang dikenal dengan upakara atau sesaji berupa daun, buah dan bunga. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis, bagian, dan makna simbolis tumbuhan dalam Upacara Keagamaan Nyepi di kawasan Taman Nasional Alas Purwo, serta pengembangannya sebagai sumber belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis, bagian, dan makna simbolis tumbuhan dalam Upacara Keagamaan Nyepi di kawasan Taman Nasional Alas Purwo, dan mengetahui pengembangan bahan ajar poster materi keanekaragaman hayati kelas X SMA/MA. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Pura Luhur Giri Salaka Taman Nasional Alas Purwo Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini yaitu jenis-jenis tumbuhan yang digunakan dalam upacara nyepi, bagian tumbuhan, makna simbolisnya, dan kearifan lokal di kawasan Taman Nasional Alas Purwo terutama pada Upacara Nyepi sebagai sumber belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dan sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara semi terstruktur dan dokumentasi. Instrument wawancara menggunakan lembar pedoman wawancara. Analisis data kualitatif melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian yang didapat bahwa dalam Upacara Nyepi menggunakan 38 jenis tumbuhan yang dikelompokkan dalam 29 famili. Bagian tumbuhan yang digunakan yaitu: batang, daun, bunga, buah, biji, dan serabut, dengan persentase terbanyak buah (45%) dan bunga (33%) Kearifan lokal penggunaan tumbuhan dalam Upacara Nyepi yaitu kepercayaan (tumbuhan memiliki makna atau filosofi yang melambangkan keseimbangan antar makhluk hidup), pengetahuan (jenis dan bagian tumbuhan yang digunakan dalam upacara), dan praktik (penggunaan tumbuhan segar, serta penanaman tumbuhan di pekarangan rumah, sekitar pura, dan sawah). Produk penelitian berupa poster memiliki persentase rata-rata 97,5% dengan kategori “Sangat Baik” sehingga berpotensi sebagai media penunjang pembelajaran pada materi keanekaragaman hayati pada kelas X kurikulum merdeka pada fase E. The implementation of the Nyepi Day ceremony consists of: Melasti Ceremony, Tawur Kesanga Ceremony, Catur Brata Penyepian and Ngembak Geni. The role of plants in Hindu religious ceremonies is one of the ritual ingredients known as ceremonies or offerings in the form of leaves, fruit and flowers. The problems in this study are the types, parts, and symbolic meanings of plants in the Nyepi Religious Ceremony in the Alas Purwo National Park area, and their development as a source of learning. This study aims to determine the types, parts, and symbolic meanings of plants in the Nyepi Religious Ceremony in the Alas Purwo National Park area, and to determine the development of teaching materials for posters on biodiversity for class X SMA/MA. The research was conducted at Luhur Giri Salaka Temple, Alas Purwo National Park, Banyuwangi Regency. This type of qualitative descriptive research. The research data obtained in this study are the types of plants used in the Nyepi ceremony, parts of the plant, their symbolic meaning, and local wisdom in the Alas Purwo National Park area, especially during the Nyepi Ceremony as a source of learning. This study uses primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, semi-structured interviews and documentation. The interview instrument uses an interview guide sheet. Qualitative data analysis through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results obtained that the Nyepi Ceremony uses 38 types of plants grouped into 29 families. The parts of the plants used are: stems, leaves, flowers, fruit, seeds, and fibers, with the highest percentage being fruit (45%) and flowers (33%). balance between living things), knowledge (types and parts of plants used in ceremonies), and practice (use of fresh plants, and planting plants in the yard of the house, around the temple, and rice fields).
