Abstract
Introduction: Atrial fibrillation is the most common type of arrhythmia and its prevalence is increasing. Atrial fibrillation increases the risk of stroke sixfold and is associated with a twofold increase in mortality, which remains above 1.5-fold after adjusting for comorbidities, largely due to cerebrovascular events, progressive ventricular dysfunction, and increased coronary mortality. The adverse hemodynamic effects of atrial fibrillation are well described and relate not only to the loss of atrial contractions, but also to the rate and irregularity of accompanying ventricular contractions. Management of atrial fibrillation can be carried out by indicating anticoagulant therapy by considering all AF patients while still implementing non-pharmacological treatment and controlling risk factors. Things that need to be considered in managing the problem of atrial fibrillation include an appropriate regimen, determining the appropriate dose of anticoagulant therapy, monitoring the patient's condition, and providing counseling assistance to increase the effectiveness of the drug's action. Based on the problems above, the author is interested in compiling a more in-depth Final Scientific Work regarding "Nursing Care for Atrial Fibrillation Patients in the ICCU Room at RSD dr. Soebandi Jember. Method: This research design uses a case study that explores the problem of nursing care for clients experiencing atrial fibrillation in the ICCU room at RSD dr. Soebandi Jember. Results: Analysis of the intervention by providing a 45° semi- Fowler position was proven to increase cardiac output in 2 patients. Conclusion: after explaining the nursing process to 3 patients, the conclusion is that the patient experienced an improvement in cardiac output as long as there was no second attack or cardiac arrest given the intervention carried out by the researcher.
