Abstract

Abstrak Interaksi sosial merupakan hubungan sosial antar individu yang berlangsung lama sepanjang hidupnya dan berdampak positif bagi berlangsungnya kehidupan lansia karena akan mempengaruhi kualitas hidup lansia. Dengan berkurangnya interaksi sosial pada lansia dapat menyebabkan perasaan terisolir, sehingga lansia menyendiri dan pada akhirnya mengalami depresi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan interaksi sosial dengan kejadian depresi pada lansia di UPT Pelayanan Sosial Tresna Werdha (PSTW) Jember. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian non-eksperimental menggunakan desain penelitian korelasi dengan pendekatan studi cross sectional dan pengambilan teknik sampling menggunakan proporsional stratified random sampling. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh lansia yang berada di UPT Pelayanan Sosial Tresna Werdha (PSTW) Jember sejumlah 104 responden dengan sampel 77 responden. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada interaksi sosial adalah kuesioner Lubben Social Network Scale dan kejadian depresi menggunakan Geriatric Depression Scale. Hasil dari analisis statistik menggunakan uji sperman rho diperoleh nilai P value= 0,000 < 0,05 yang artinya ada hubungan antara Interaksi Sosial Dengan Kejadian Depresi Pada Lansia Di UPT Pelayanan Sosial Tresna Werdha (PSTW) Jember. Petugas kesehatan atau pembimbing wisma diharapkan terus membantu lansia dalam berinterksi sosial dengan sesama lansia agar terciptanya komunikasi dengan baik maka lansia akan merasa di cintai, di terima oleh lingkungannya sehingga rasa kesepian dan menyendiri tidak mengakibatkan depresi pada lansia. Abstract Social interaction is a social connection between individuals lasting long throughout his life and positively impacting the life of the elderly as it affects the quality of elderly life. With reduced social interaction in the elderly can lead to feelings of isolated, so that the elderly are aloof and eventually depressed. The purpose of this research is to know the relationship of social interaction with the incidence of depression in the elderly in UPT Pelayanan Sosial Tresna Werdha (PSTW) Jember. This research is a non-experimental study using a correlation research design with cross sectional study approaches and sampling techniques using proportional stratified random sampling. The population used in this research is the entire elderly who are in the UPT Pelayanan Sosial Tresna Werdha (PSTW) Jember A number of 104 respondents with a sample of 77 respondents. The data collection tools used in social interactions are the Lubben Social Network Scale Questionnaire and the incidence of depression using the Geriatric Depression Scale. The results of the statistical analysis using the test Sperman Rho obtained the value of P value = 0.000 < 0.05 which means there is a relationship between social interaction with the incidence of depression in the elderly in UPT Pelayanan Sosial Tresna Werdha (PSTW) Jember. The guesthouse's health care staff or advisers are expected to continue to assist elderly people in social interaction with fellow elderly in order to create communication well then the elderly will feel loved, received by the environment so that the loneliness and solitude do not lead to depression in the elderly.
