Marriage is a physical bond between a woman and a man as husband and wife that aims to form a family (household), this is done by custom or belief.
According to Satoto (in Muchlisah, 2012) states that ideally marriage is done by adults who have the age of 21-25 years for women and 25-28 years for men based
on the condition of their reproductive organs which have developed well and strong and ready to go through the process of obtaining offspring. based on the
perspective of thinking that at this time both the women and men are in the stage
of mature and mature thinking and ready to overcome life problems that will arise
in marriage This study aims to describe the attitudes of adolescents in SMA 1 Tanggul towards marriage. This research uses descriptive quantitative method. The
population in this study were adolescents aged 15-19 years who were students of X, XI, XII of SMA Negeri 1 Tanggul Department of Mathematics and Natural
Sciences and final year students. Determination of the sample using probability sampling techniques, namely simple random sampling.
The results showed that the attitudes of adolescents towards marriage were divided into positive attitudes which were in the high category, namely 56.7% as many as 149 subjects, and the low category indicated that 43.3% were chosen by 114 subjects. Meanwhile, the negative attitudes of adolescents towards marriage were mostly in the high category, namely 52.1% as many as 137
subjects, and the low category showed that 47.9% were chosen by 126 subjects.
