Abstract

The aims of this study to find out whether there is a significant difference in students' reading comprehension between students who are taught using the graphic organizer strategy and those who are taught using student’s worksheets of SMA Pancasila Ambulu. In method needs to be considered in reading activities, namely the ability of students to understand the meaning of the contents of a reading text a whole. Graphic organizer strategy, namely as a graphic diagram or chart that represents the relationship directed by the verb thinking skills associated with the importance of students' reading comprehension. So, the Graphic organizer strategy provides teachers with a tool to assist students towards higher achievement in their reading comprehension skills. Graphic organizers that target elements of critical and creative thinking help develop students' ability to perceive and understand the meaning of a text. Based on the results of the analysis, the average value of the experimental class for the post-test was 90.41 and then the average value of the control class is 37.37. The average value of the experimental group is higher than the average value of the control group. The significance value based on the analysis on the post-test is 0.000 <0.05. The alternative hypothesis (Ha) shows that there is a significant difference in reading comprehension between students who are taught with a graphic organizer strategy and students who are taught with worksheets is accepted. In the conclusion above it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the graphic organizer strategy on students' reading comprehension at SMA Pancasila Ambulu in the 2022/2023 academic year. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada perbedaan yang signifikan pada pemahaman membaca siswa antara siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan strategi graphic organizer dengan yang diajar dengan menggunakan lembar kerja siswa di SMA Pancasila Ambulu. Dalam metode perlu diperhatikan dalam kegiatan membaca, yaitu kemampuan siswa dalam memahami makna dari isi suatu teks bacaan secara keseluruhan. Strategi Graphic organizer, yaitu sebagai diagram grafis atau bagan yang mewakili hubungan yang diarahkan oleh keterampilan berpikir kata kerja yang berhubungan dengan pentingnya pemahaman membaca siswa. Jadi, strategi Graphic organizer memberikan guru sebuah alat untuk membantu siswa menuju pencapaian yang lebih tinggi dalam kemampuan pemahaman membaca mereka. Graphic organizer yang menargetkan elemen-elemen berpikir kritis dan kreatif membantu mengembangkan kemampuan siswa untuk memahami dan memahami makna dari sebuah teks. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen untuk post-test adalah 90,41 dan nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol adalah 37,37. Nilai rata-rata kelompok eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan nilai rata-rata kelompok kontrol. Nilai signifikansi berdasarkan analisis pada post-test adalah 0,000 < 0,05. Hipotesis alternatif (Ha) yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dalam membaca pemahaman antara siswa yang diajar dengan strategi graphic organizer dan siswa yang diajar dengan lembar kerja diterima. Pada kesimpulan di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari strategi graphic organizer terhadap pemahaman membaca siswa di SMA Pancasila Ambulu tahun ajaran 2022/2023.
