Abstract
This study aims to explore the effect of the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) cooperative learning technique on students' writing skills through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method of articles published between 2021 and 2025. Writing is an important language skill that requires mastery of various aspects such as grammar, idea organization, vocabulary, and coherence. However, many high school students still experience difficulties in expressing their ideas in writing. The TSTS technique that encourages collaboration and discussion among students is believed to improve students' ability to develop and organize writing. This study reviewed nine selected articles from Google Scholar with specific inclusion and exclusion criteria, focusing on studies conducted at the high school level or equivalent. The synthesis results show that TSTS has a positive impact on students' writing skills, especially in terms of grammatical accuracy, idea or organization, vocabulary use, and confidence in writing. In addition, TSTS also increased students' motivation and engagement during writing activities. Based on these findings TSTS can be considered as an effective strategy to improve students' writing skills in English language learning.
