Abstract
The increase in the amount of fuel in Indonesia causes the oil material to be obtained in accordance with people’s income. The main fuel used or often used and the price is cheaper that is premium fuel in addition, other factors can be caused by the price of the year caught fuel prices are rising, so the desire of each driver wants to be more efficient and efficient. Also a very influential factor is the problem of engine performance condition. Performance of a motor vehicle influences by many things. One of the things that affect is the selection of fuel. Fuel is associated with octane numbers, premium with octane (88), pertalite with octane (90), pertamax with octane (92), pertamax turbo (98). The results showed that the fuel with octane higher then the result of power and torque produced better than the lower octane. Pertamax turbo with 98 octane produces the most power that is 12.6 Hp and 33.01 N.m of torque at 3664 rpm and 2123 rpm engine speed.
