Abstract

Lower filter dam is a building that is built transversely below the base of the weir that is used for tapping water to reduce rocky sedimentation in the river flowing directly into the mountain slope, by installing filters on top of the weir lighthouse. At the writing of this thesis, conducting research on a test model with a variation of circular filter plate holes with a slope angle of 20 °. With the aim of getting the Kofisien value of discharge and filter plate structure planning for simulation application in the field. From this final project, the discharge coefficient value of each filter is 0.45 straight type filter and 0.35 cross type filter. Of the two types of filters obtained filter effectiveness against 90% rod sediment and 81% circular sediment. For the application of the number of holes in the field obtained the number of 978 straight type filter sieve and 1170 cross type filter. And for the recommended thickness of the plate if applied to the field using Bj 37 steel plates with a recommendation of two thicknesses which is the thickness that takes into account the hole which is 8 mm thickness without calculating the hole which is 3 mm.
