Gambaran Dukungan Sosial Orang Tua Pandhalungan Pada Siswa Smp Negeri 2 Tempurejo Di Kabupaten Jember

Social support in the study is the social support derived from parents which include comfort, compassion, care and assistance. This is the condition students want to get from parents, especially in learning. Parents have a profound influence on the youth learning process during being studens. The reseach aims to perceive parents social support figures pandhalungan for student at SMP Negeri 2 Tempurejo. Social support is the encouragement or help that the individual parents give to his or her child so that the child can feel the affection that comes with the parents, and the child will have positive feelings of self and of good confidence.

This reseach methods use descriptive quantitative measures. Investigators are using the simple random sampling to get sample of 177 students. The fissure used to get the data is the scale of parents social support using the Guttman scale model with the 1 digit range in response “yes” an 0 for an “no” answer.The results of the analysis of the measuring instrument stated that the validity ranged from 1,555 - 0,642, the reliability results obtained a value of 0.884, which means that the instruments of social support of parents are steady or consistent. The results of the descriptive analysis stated that there was social support from parents to students from the pandhalungan community background at SMP Negeri 2 Tempurejo.
