Obstruction of justice is an act intended to hinder or obstruct the law
enforcement process, whether during the investigation, prosecution, or court hearings.
Problems arise when allegations of obstruction of justice are linked to mass media
reporting activities. This study aims to analyze whether Tian Bahtiar's reporting in the
Jak TV case fulfills the elements of the crime of obstruction of justice. This study uses
a normative juridical method with a statutory and conceptual approach. The results
show that not all elements of the crime of obstruction of justice are fulfilled,
particularly the element of actions that clearly hinder the law enforcement process.
