Abstract

Speaking is important because it reflects to the student knowledge about English. Based on the result of preliminary study, some of students have problems in speaking. They are shy to speak English, they are afraid to speak up in the class because they are afraid if they are wrong. And based on the observation that was done by the researcher, the English teacher was still using question-answer technique.
