Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis tanaman herba rimpang berpotensi obat. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan teknik observasi dan wawancara. Observasi dilaksanakan di pekarangan rumah warga Afdeling Tri Tunggal PTPN XII Kebun Renteng yang ditetapkan dengan sengaja menggunakan metode purposive sampling untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis tanaman herba rimpang yang terdapat di pekarangan rumah warga. Teknik wawancara dilakukan dengan informan untuk mengetahui potensi tanaman herba rimpang yang ditemukan sebagai obat. Hasil observasi menunjukkan terdapat 11 jenis dan 2 varietas tanaman herba rimpang, sedangkan hasil wawancara dengan informan menunjukkan tanaman herba rimpang yang berpotensi sebagai obat sebanyak 7 jenis dan 1 varietas dari hasil observasi yang ditemukan.
