Abstract
Job satisfaction is a feeling and attitude of employees towards work, conditions,
interactions, and the role of individuals in the work environment that are related to
the needs that will be achieved in reality. This study aims to determine whether Job
Characteristics, Work Motivation and individual Characteristics influence job satisfaction.
the method used is multiple linear regression where the tool is useful for calculating how
influential the characteristics of work, work motivation and individual characteristics of job
satisfaction, the object used in this study is UM Jember permanent employees. The conclusion
of this study is based on calculations using multiple linear regression showing that the Job
Characteristics have a significant effect partially on the job satisfaction of UM Jember
permanent employees. Likewise, motivation has a partially significant effect on job satisfaction
and the latter is an individual characteristic that has a partially significant effect on job
satisfaction.
