Abstract
vi ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui secara langsung maupun tidak langsung pengaruh kompetensi pegawai dan karakteristik pekerjaan terhadap kinerja pegawai melalui motivasi kerja sebagai Variabel intervening pada Dinas Perumahan Rakyat, Kawasan Pemukiman dan Cipta Karya Kabupaten Jember. Jumlah sampel penelitian ini adalah 80. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah Structural Equation Model (SEM) dengan menggunakan WarpPLS 7.0. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa variabel kompetensi pegawai berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi kerja, karakteristik pekerjaan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi kerja, kompetensi pegawai berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, karakteristik pekerjaan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, motivasi kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Secara tidak langsung kompetensi pegawai dan karakteristik pekerjaan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai melalui motivasi kerja Kata Kunci : Kompetensi, Karakteristik pekerjaan, Motivasi kerja dan Kinerja pegawaivii ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine directly or indirectly the effect of employee competence and job characteristics on employee performance through work motivation as an intervening variable at the Public Housing, Settlement Area and Human Settlements Office, Jember Regency. The number of samples in this study was 80. The analysis technique used was the Structural Equation Model (SEM) using WarpPLS 7.0. The results of data analysis show that employee competency variables have a significant effect on work motivation, job characteristics have a significant effect on work motivation, employee competence has a significant effect on employee performance, job characteristics have a significant effect on employee performance, work motivation has a significant effect on employee performance.
