Abstract

Students often struggle with reading comprehension, leading to lower academic performance compared to other subjects. This is mainly because many students lack interest in using different learning tools, which hinders their understanding and participation in reading activities. To improve student engagement and make learning more diverse, it is essential to introduce a variety of learning materials. Wordwall-assisted flashcards offer a fun and interactive way to learn, aiming to enhance students' reading comprehension skills effectively. Wordwall assisted flashcards provide an engaging learning experience that helps students understand and remember information better. By using these flashcards, teachers can create exciting lessons that cater to different learning styles. This study focuses on comparing how well students understand procedural texts when taught using traditional worksheets versus Wordwall assisted flashcards in junior high school. This research uses a specific design to compare students' learning outcomes before and after using Wordwall assisted flashcards. The study uses numbers and data to analyze how effective these flashcards are in improving student comprehension. By looking at the performance of students in junior high schools, the study aims to show the benefits of using interactive learning tools like Wordwall. The findings reveal a significant improvement in the reading comprehension outcomes of junior high school students who were taught using Wordwall assisted flashcards, as indicated by an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.001 < 0.05. This statistical significance underscores the positive response of students to the interactive and engaging nature of Wordwall-assisted learning, highlighting the potential for enhancing the overall learning experience and academic performance of students.
