Gambaran Pengetahuan Tentang Rokok Pada Siswa Smp Muhammadiyah 1 Jember

This research uses descriptive quantitative method with a cross sectional study design. The data collection method in this study uses Guttman's form of knowledge scale which is compiled based on indicators from the aspects of knowledge proposed by Soekidjo Notoatmojo. Data analysis methods used include validity test, reliability test, normality test and descriptive test.
Based on the analysis shows that knowledge of cigarettes in female students in the high category is 91.8% and in male students is in the high category 94.1%. The conclusion is that there is no significant relationship between knowledge and attitudes towards smoking in students of 1 Jember Muhammadiyah Middle School. It is better to educate students in Jember 1 Muhammadiyah Middle School about chemicals in cigarettes and cigarette smoke and their impact on health.
