The research was studied by comparing the pre-test and post-test results of both groups using the normality, homogeneity, and independent sample t-test. After the data was analyze, the data from experimental class that use PLEASE strategy got the mean 19.67 and variance 54.057. The data from control class that use reading-writing strategy got the mean 12.86 and variance 73.009. The value of P(T<=t) two-tail 0.0005 ≤ sig 0.05. It means that there was a significant effect of using PLEASE strategy on students’ writing ability in developing descriptive text.
