Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 mengubah sistem pembelajaran konvensional menjadi pembelajaran daring. SMAN 3 Bondowoso merupakan salah satu sekolah yang selama pembelajaran moda daring memanfaatkan WhatsApp untuk menunjang proses pembelajaran. Persepsi peseta didik pada penelitian ini sangat penting untuk memberikan masukan dan sebagai evaluasi untuk pelaksanaan pembelajaran moda daring dengan menggunakan aplikasi WhatsApp agar lebih baik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui persepsi peserta didik terhadap penggunaan aplikasi WhatsApp dalam proses pembelajaran Biologi moda daring di SMAN 3 Bondowoso. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan lembar wawancara. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Teknik analisis yaitu menggunakan analisis data milik Miles dan Huberman. Pengujian Keabsahan data menggunakan teknik triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persepsi peserta didik pada indikator tanggapan cukup baik dengan persentase 64% dan persepsi untuk indikator motivasi tergolong cukup baik dengan persentase 63%. Persepsi peserta didik terhadap penggunaan Aplikasi WhatsApp selama pembelajaran biologi moda daring cukup baik, namun perlu adanya inovasi dalam strategi penyampaian materi dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi WhatsApp untuk meningkatkan proses pembelajaran. The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the conventional learning system into online learning. SMAN 3 Bondowoso is one of the schools that during online learning uses WhatsApp to support the learning process. The perception of students in this study is very important to provide input and as an evaluation for the implementation of online mode learning using the WhatsApp application to make it better. The purpose of this study was to determine the students' perception of the use of the WhatsApp application in the online mode of Biology learning process at SMAN 3 Bondowoso. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Collecting data using questionnaires and interview sheets. The sampling technique used was total sampling. The analysis technique is using Miles and Huberman's data analysis. Testing the validity of the data using triangulation techniques. The results showed that students' perceptions of the response indicators were quite good with a percentage of 64% and perceptions for motivation indicators were quite good with a percentage of 63%. The students' perception of the use of the WhatsApp application during online biology learning is quite good, but there is a need for innovation in the strategy of delivering material by utilizing the WhatsApp application to improve the learning process.
