English Education Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Jember. Advisors: (1) Fitrotul Mufaridah, M.Pd (2) Taufik Hidayah, S.Pd, M.Tesol Key Word : Reading Comprehension, Suggestopedia Method. Reading is one of four skill in learning English language. Reading is very active process in which the readers do not only read the word, sentences, or paragraph without any goal but it consist of understanding and comprehension before they are going to read. However the students lack interest toward reading. Therefore, it is important to do a research entitle “Improving Students’ Reading Comprehension By Using Suggestopedia Method”. In this research, the problem is “how can the implementation of suggestopedia method improve student’s reading comprehension at Eighth B Executive grade of SMP Islam Gumukmas in the 2019 / 2020 Academic year?” and the purpose of this research is to know how the implementation of suggestopedia method improve students’ reading comprehension at Eighth B Executive grade of SMP Islam Gumukmas in the 2019 / 2020 Academic Year. Based on the problem and the relevant theory, the hypothesis of this research is described as follows: Suggestopedia Method improve the eight grade students’ Reading Comprehension at Smp Islam Gumukmas in the 2019/2020 academic year. The design of this research is classroom action research. The research subject is VIII B Executive consisting of 24 students. The data are collected using reading comprehension test method, and the instrument used is test items. In order to analyze the data-students’ reading comprehension score, percentage formula is used. The implementation of suggestopedia Method was combined with game in cycle two. All of students were active in the teaching and learning activities, and they didn’t feel bored. Those caused the result of cycle two achieved the criteria of success. Suggestopedia Method improve the students’ reading comprehension in two cycle from the percentage of students scored ≥ 70 (E = 54%) in cycle 1 to E = 75% in cycle 2. Based on the research result, it can be concluded that Suggestopedia Method is able to improve students’ reading comprehension at SMP Islam Gumukmas at Eight B Executive grade of SMP Islam Gumukmas in 2019/2020 academic year.
