ABSTRACT MUHAMMADIYAH UNIVERSITY OF JEMBER PROGRAM STUDI S1 KEPERAWATAN FACULTY ILMU KESEHATAN Thesis, Februari 2025 Pandu Wibowo The Relationship Between Nurses' Workload and Work Stress Levels in the Class III Inpatient Room at RSUD dr. Soebandi Jember Introduction: Nurses are health workers who have a crucial role in carrying out health services, especially in providing nursing care directly to patients. According to the Indonesian Ministry of Health (2001), health services include a sustainable bio- psycho-social-spiritual approach in carrying out their profession. Nurses are prone to stress because the demands are large, resulting in too much workload and can cause tension in a person, causing stress. Nurses in hospitals have many duties and responsibilities set by the hospital itself, so that the work carried out by nurses can provide its own workload due to the many tasks and pressures that exist. The work stress faced by nurses not only has an impact on the well-being of the nurses themselves, but can also affect the quality of nursing services provided to patients..Methode: This research uses a correlational with a cross-sectional approach, the subjects of this research are executive nurses who are active at RSUD dr. Soebandi with a sample of 90 people and the sampling technique used was purposive sampling. This research uses two questionnaires which can be filled out using g-form. Data processing in this study used Spearman-Rho Result: The results obtained in this study were the relationship between nurses' workload and the level of work stress in the Class III Inpatient Room at RSD dr. Soebandi Jember has a value of r=0.923, where the strength of the relationship between two variables is strong and has a p value of 0.000 which is below 0.001 Discuss: There is a relationship between workload and work stress in class III inpatient nurses at RSUD dr.
