Abstract

The study aims to determine the direct and indirect effect of job training, and individual characteristics on teacher productivity mediated by the competence of SD / MI Muhammadiyah teachers throughout Lumajang Regency. In this study using descriptive and quantitative research methods. The population in this study were all SD / MI Muhammadiyah teachers in Lumajang Regency. The number of samples in this study were 102 teachers who were taken using a saturated sampling technique (census). The analysis technique used is to use the Structural Equation Model (SEM) using the Warp PLS 5.0 application. The results of the analysis of this study indicate that (1) job training has a positive and significant effect on productivity; (2) job training, has a positive and significant effect on teacher competence; (3) individual characteristics, have a positive and significant effect on teacher competence; (4) individual characteristics, have a positive and significant effect on teacher productivity; (5) competence, has a positive and significant effect on teacher productivity; (6) the indirect effect of job training variables on teacher productivity variables through the intervening variable teacher competence is insignificant and smaller than the direct effect of job training variables on teacher productivity variables; (7) the indirect effect of individual characteristic variables on teacher productivity variables through the intervening variable teacher competence is significant, but smaller than the direct effect of individual characteristics variables on teacher productivity variables.
